The Greenhouse at Freund’s Farm Market
Our greenhouse is alive with activity nearly all year long. From the first signs of spring through the colors of fall and into the creativity of winter, it is a space that evolves with the seasons and with our community.
Winter
While the growing season slows, the greenhouse remains very much alive. During the winter months, the space transforms from garden benches to gathering tables.
The greenhouse becomes a unique setting for meetings, private events, weddings, and even interactive experiences like murder mystery dinners. If you are looking for a memorable place to host a winter gathering, we would love to help you explore the possibilities.

Spring
Spring begins early at Freund’s Farm Market. As winter fades, we are already busy planting annuals in our greenhouses using our farm’s own value added CowPots. March and April are filled with seed starting and transplanting, from six packs and individual pots to hanging baskets and combination planters.
As temperatures warm, the greenhouse and market burst into color. You will find familiar favorites like pansies and petunias alongside perennial plants such as lupines and rudbeckia. Herbs and edible plants are woven throughout the aisles, offering plenty of inspiration for gardens, containers, and kitchen windowsills.
Summer
By early summer, the greenhouse is full and thriving. Fuchsias, begonias, and supertunias spill generously from hanging baskets, while benches remain stocked with both sun loving and shade preferring plants.
Whether you are just getting started or filling in a few open spaces, we continue offering a wide selection of annuals and perennials through early July. To support gardeners at every level, we also carry a complete line of gardening supplies, including tools, soil amendments, and fertilizers.
Fall
Color carries on well beyond summer. As autumn arrives, our greenhouse and grounds transition into a celebration of the season. Pumpkins, corn stalks, and straw bales set the stage, while garden benches fill with hardy chrysanthemums, asters, ornamental kale, and broom corn.
By September, gourds and winter squash arrive fresh from the fields. Ornamental corn and popcorn are harvested and hung for seasonal decorating, bringing texture, warmth, and tradition into homes near and far.
